Title:

Functional network analysis of aging and Alzheimer's Disease

Location:

Owheo - 1:00 pm, Friday 17 May

Abstract:

Functional network analysis is an alternative to model based fMRI analysis, and is based upon concepts from graph theory. It allows patterns in the data to be explored without any a priori assumptions about the regional or temporal dynamics of the BOLD signal. In this talk I will give an overview of fMRI and methods for the functional network analysis of fMRI data. I will also present some results from my PhD research, exploring the ways in which aging and Alzheimer's Disease affect the properties of functional networks derived from task based and resting state fMRI data.
