An informal talk in three parts: (1) Computing in NZ schools is changing again, from primary level up. What is happening, and how is it being resourced? (2) I'm currently in the closing stages of co-editing the Cambridge Handbook of Computing Education Research. What are some of the interesting results and trends in the field? (3) The Handbook has 32 chapters and 53 authors. We followed a fairly unusual and very open writing process. How did it go? Can a collective of academics keep to deadlines? Can they follow instructions? (Spoiler alert - no they cannot.)
