Title:

90%: is it good enough?

Location:

Archway 2 - 1:00 pm, Friday 8 September

Abstract:

A student who scores 90% in a course gets an A+, and silver needs to be at least 92.5% silver to be called Sterling, but a network that is only usable 90% of the time is failure. Do 90% of businesses have formal written policies, firewalls, formal backup regimes, business continuity plans, or even good passwords?

This presentation will briefly examine these 90% situations including 90% programming and then discuss a proposal that might mitigate these and other Information Assurance issues.
