Making learning fun, letting learners interact with the learning medium and offering multimodal learning can engage students and result in more satisfying learning experiences. Interactive Augmented Reality (AR) allows to design such edutainment experiences. We will present different AR based educational projects and discuss the potential of novel technologies for edutainment.
